It feels unreal to see how fast Rizom has been growing its roots for the last two years!

This is the month of our second birthday and for this reason we are hosting a two day event on the 15th & 16th!

We invited artists, performers, creators and our good friends to be part of this magical celebration!

Highlight of our two day birthday event, ‘ΔΥΟ’, the ongoing performance piece and collaboration between Myrgon and Danai Simou.
Experimenting and challenging different mediums, the two aim to create a symbolic dialogue among sculpture, painting, photography, sound and poetry.
During the 30 hour ritual act, the artists will prepare, shape and compose their elements, leading their alchemical synergy into an epic climax.

‘ΔΥΟ’ | 30h live performance by @myrgon_ & @danaisimou

Myrgon is a multidisciplinary artist working with earthly materials. His artistic expression delves into the connection of the human body to its origins through ritualistic and mythological techniques. His work manifests in live sculpting ritual performances, led by instinct and the subconscious. Forging a link between the physical body to its spiritual roots, the entities that emerge during his acts, reflect existential explorations and experiences on identity and the human condition.

Danai Simou works as an interdisciplinary artist, photographer, musician & performer. Her research interests ponder on the subjects of auto-ethnography, sexuality and identity to speak about traumatic constructions, disorderly schemes and acts of pleasure. Her practice follows and embodies the rhythms of experiences, loves, failures and agonies lived; yet, it also lingers on alternative futures, and otherworldly ways of existing within social contracts, interpersonal dynamics and psychopolitical hierarchies.

Our dj friends will be curating the music both days till late. Check that killer line up!
