Η Ανθή Μαρωνίτη γεννήθηκε και σπούδασε στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Από το 1972 ζει μόνιμα στην Αθήνα. Έχει εκδώσει τις ποιητικές συλλογές: Λίγο πριν κόψει το χαμόγελο (Άγρα, 1997), Ο ρυθμός ζεστός (Άγρα, 2000), Ξύλα υγρά (Άγρα, 2002), Τρεις φωνές (Άγρα, 2004), Το ακόντιο (Κέδρος, 2006), Κάπως έτσι (Κέδρος, 2009), Χρωμοσώματα – Της απώλειας (Άγρα, 2012), Η μόνη της περιουσία (Άγρα, 2015) και Τα μικρά που δεν πρόλαβες (Άγρα, 2018).
Ποιήματά της έχουν μεταφραστεί στα σουηδικά, στα γερμανικά, στα γαλλικά και στα αγγλικά.
