Η συλλογικότητα εικαστικών καλλιτεχνών ARC – Art Revisited Collective και οι Επιμελητές Πάρης Καπράλος και Ιάσων Καιροφύλας σας προσκαλούν να παραβρεθείτε στα εγκαίνια ή/και να επισκεφτείτε την έκθεση έργων ζωγραφικής, χαρακτικής και γλυπτικής “Νέα Σύμβολα” που θα λάβει χώρα στην Chili Art Gallery (Δημοφώντος 13-15, Θησείο, κέντρο Αθήνας).
Η έκθεση θα εγκαινιαστεί την Τρίτη 7 Ιουλίου 2020 ώρες 18:00 – 22:00 και θα παρευρίσκονται ο Επιμελητής και η πλειοψηφία των συμμετεχόντων καλλιτεχνών για την εγκαινιάσουν και να υποδεχτούν το κοινό. Τόσο την ημέρα των εγκαινίων της έκθεσης όσο και τις υπόλοιπες ημέρες και ώρες που η έκθεση θα είναι ανοικτή, θα τηρούνται οι συστάσεις της Πολιτείας για τον περιορισμό της εξάπλωσης του COVID-19.
Η έκθεση βασίζεται σε σύλληψη – κείμενο που συνυπογράφουν οι Επιμελητές.
Στα τέλη του 19ου αιώνα το ρεύμα του Συμβολισμού διαδίδεται στην Ευρώπη και λειτουργεί ως αντίδοτο στο ανούσιο του Ρεαλισμού της εποχής. Ο Συμβολισμός εμπνέεται από το φαντασιακό, δείχνει δρόμους σε υπαρξιακές αναζητήσεις, και βυθίζεται σε φιλοσοφικά θέματα. Στοχεύει στην μέθεξη του θεατή με ποιητική και μυστηριακή διάθεση. Απαντά στην ανάγκη του καλλιτεχνικού κόσμου της εποχής να αντιτάξει το όραμα στη θεοποίηση της Λογικής που επέβαλλε ο Διαφωτισμός. Πάνω και πέρα από φορμαλιστικές αποτυπώσεις ο Συμβολισμός έδωσε το ιστορικό έναυσμα για την εκκίνηση των σύγχρονων κινημάτων τέχνης. Στο εξής οι εικαστικές τέχνες γεννούν αλληγορίες που αποκαλύπτονται με σύμβολα και περιλαμβάνουν εννοιολογικό περιεχόμενο.
Σε όλες τις δύσκολες ιστορικές συγκυρίες που ακολούθησαν την εποχή του κινήματος του Συμβολισμού, η Τέχνη δημιούργησε ισχυρά σύμβολα, υπηρετώντας μια κοινή Αρχή με την Φιλοσοφία: προάγει την διαλεκτική σχέση του Ανθρώπου με την Ιστορική Συγκυρία, με εύστοχες και οξυδερκείς ερωτήσεις, θέτει ζητήματα με αντισυμβατικό τρόπο, υπερβαίνει τα όρια της Πολιτικής, των κοινωνικών συμβάσεων, των “πρέπει” και των “απαγορεύεται” μετερχόμενη κάθε μέσο προκειμένου να υποδείξει όλα αυτά που έχει νόημα να μας απασχολούν, ενώ παράλληλα δεν ζητά να επιβάλλει μία απάντηση. Ιστορικά διαπιστώνει κανείς εύκολα ότι η ίδια η τέχνη προάγεται με άλματα στις πιο αντίξοες συγκυρίες: ολοκληρωτικά καθεστώτα, δύο Παγκόσμιοι Πόλεμοι, Ψυχρός Πόλεμος, Εμφύλιοι σπαραγμοί. Στην πορεία μετασχηματίστηκε και η ίδια, παράγοντας νέα είδη τέχνης: εγκαταστάσεις, πολυμέσα, performance, κλπ. Πλέον όλη η εικαστική παραγωγή μιλά συμβολικά χωρίς απαραίτητα να εντάσσεται στο ομώνυμο κίνημα.
Στην εποχή μας, οι πρωτόγνωρες καταστάσεις που ζούμε σε παγκόσμια κλίμακα από το 2008 (χρεοκοπία της Lehman Brothers που σηματοδότησε την παγκόσμια χρηματοπιστωτική κρίση μέρος της οποίας είναι ιστορικά το “Ελληνικό Ζήτημα”, και η διαρκώς έκτοτε επαπειλούμενη κατάρρευση της Παγκόσμιας Οικονομίας) οπότε εισήλθαμε σε έναν νέο κοινωνικό Μεσαίωνα, ο “Πόλεμος κατά της Τρομοκρατίας” – που αναίρεσε τις κατακτήσεις των ανθρώπινων ελευθεριών έναντι της ασφάλειας, και, πρόσφατα η έναρξη μιας εποχής βιολογικών απειλών, ζητούν επιτακτικά τροφή για σκέψη εκτός πλαισίου. Σήμερα, όπως άλλοτε, ζητείται από την τέχνη να πραγματοποιήσει ένα ακόμα άλμα: να προάγει τον προβληματισμό, να παράγει τις νέες αλληγορίες, δίνοντας στον κόσμο τα ΝΕΑ ΣΥΜΒΟΛΑ της εποχής μας.
Η έκθεση θα διαρκέσει μέχρι και το Σάββατο 18 Ιουλίου 2020. Η Chili Art Gallery θα είναι ανοικτή στην διάρκεια της έκθεσης Δευτέρα, Τρίτη, Τετάρτη, Πέμπτη, Παρασκευή 10.30 – 18.00, Σάββατο 11.00 – 15.00 με Ελεύθερη Είσοδο για το κοινό.
Στην έκθεση συμμετέχουν με έργα τους οι εικαστικοί καλλιτέχνες: Έλενα Στρατιδάκη, Έννιος-Έρως Γιώγος, Στέλλα Σεβαστοπούλου, Κώστας Μεννής, Ράνια Ανασοτζή, Αλέξανδρος Καντόρος, Κωνσταντίνα Μηνά, Φάνης Γούλης, Ουρανία Καρολίνα Κολιοπούλου, Foti Kllogjeri, Χριστίνα Ζυγούρη, Στέργιος Γουδίνης, Αλεξία Κουδιγκέλη, Μαρία Στρατιδάκη, Sasha Chaitow, Τίτα Σταύρου.
