Το Κέντρο Πολιτισμού Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος και η Εθνική Βιβλιοθήκη της Ελλάδος (ΕΒΕ) συνέπραξαν με ενθουσιασμό για την παρουσίαση του Προμηθέα Δεσμώτη του Δημήτρη Καμαρωτού, συνθέτη και δραματουργού του ήχου, στην ιστορική έδρα της ΕΒΕ, το Βαλλιάνειο Μέγαρο στην οδό Πανεπιστημίου.
Σε αυτήν τη θεατρική—μουσική σύνθεση, έργο φτιαγμένο για ζωντανή αναμετάδοση, οι ηθοποιοί Αμαλία Μουτούση και Κωνσταντίνος Αβαρικιώτης, η μεσόφωνος Άννα Παγκάλου και οι μουσικοί Κατερίνα Κωνσταντούρου και Χρήστος Λιάτσος, θα αφηγηθούν την ιστορία του αισχυλικού Προμηθέα Δεσμώτη – όλο το κείμενο της τραγωδίας σε μετάφραση του ποιητή Νίκου Α. Παναγιωτόπουλου.
Οι ηθοποιοί αναλαμβάνουν όλα τα πρόσωπα του έργου και η μεσόφωνος Άννα Παγκάλου τον Χορό. Για να γίνει σαφές ποιον χαρακτήρα υποδύονται κάθε φορά χρησιμοποιούν μια συγκεκριμένη τεχνική, τις «ηχητικές μάσκες». Όλη η τραγωδία λειτουργεί σαν παρτιτούρα, ο λόγος σαν μουσική από λέξεις κι η φωνή τους σαν μουσικό όργανο. Γύρω τους, οι μουσικοί τούς επιτηρούν και τους υποστηρίζουν. Με εικόνες, ήχους και μουσική ρίχνουν μια γέφυρα ανάμεσα στην κατοικία των βιβλίων και τις οθόνες των σπιτιών μας.
